This is the Balkan Academy for Society's Rejected Children's official dA account!

TO NEWCOMERS:
Welcome. Allow me to introduce myself.
I am MikazukiYuki, but you all can call me Mi-Yu. I am the author of BASRC.
You might be asking, what exactly IS The Balkan Academy for Society's Rejected Children? Put simply, it's a school for the kids no one else wants or cares about. It's a sanctuary (and, unfortunately, dumping ground) for the overly-or-underly-smart, the disabled, the misfits, the deformed, the insane, the gifted, the 'different', and the non-human. Yes, you read that correctly, the non-human. From vampires to aliens to shape-shifters to so-called 'half-breeds', you name it, there's at least one at BASRC. Not only that, but the grounds surrounding the school are a biological haven, where at least two of every animal that was imagined or has ever lived resides.
As you can guess, being a new student at this school, where most students had been attending since preschool, would be somewhat...challenging. The story opens with Jade, one such student. Like every child at the school, there's more to her than meets the eye. The story is not solely about her, however. Who the 'main character' is regularly shifts between several students, and occasionally staff members.

If you're even remotely interested, please give it a read. If you really like it, tell a friend or two. I'm trying to spread the word. The more people we* get interested, the better!
*'We' referring to myself and the people who help me out with character/ideas. Got a character you'd like to donate, or a random idea? Let me know. I can't guarantee your character will be hugely important, but I will try to work them in for at least a cameo. After all, with a school that has so many students, background characters and classmates would really be appreciated!
As for ideas, if you want to be on the 'crew', let me know. You'll get a spot in the BASRC ADMIN/STAFF list. :D

TO NON-NEWCOMERS:

...
GUESS WHO HAS INSPIRATION?!?!? 8DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Thanks to the tourney I've been running (based on one of BASRC's many sister stories), I have fresh ideas. I just can't talk about them because most of you are involved in the tournament, too, and that would be spoiling. :heart:

DARKEST DAYS:
Since you all have voted for Speed to be the Headmaster, this has become a fun project to do when I have nothing else to work on...which won't be anytime soon.

That's pretty much it update-wise. Later!

<-Mi-Yu->

CONTEST:
Create an I.D.! Pretty much the same rules here as the first contest. However, if you want, you can make it like a student I.D. for the school, then leave the picture blank...or something. As you can tell, I have no creativity. :P
Again, the winning I.D. will be used as BASRC's I.D. C'MON, PEOPLE, PARTICIPATE!!!

If you want more details, note this account.

Also, the stats/profile-y stuff that one usually sees on a UserPage will change time to time. I'm working on Ja-Ya, the 19-year-old Head Janitor, Tech Teacher, and Sub Teacher that graduated from the Academy last school year. Next will be a student. Who? Wait and see. XD

Anyway, that's about it for now.
<-Mi-Yu->

You are most welcome, dear. :heart:

High in the Balkan Mountains of Bulgaria, in a clearing the average Joe can't find, there is a school. It's home to the kids and teachers that the world doesn't want: the nonconformists, the disabled, the highly gifted, the abandoned, and the nonhuman.

Also, would you like me to come up with some background characters for the story? Just ones you can mention in passing, y'now? They wouldn't be hard to come up with. Just tell me what kinds of characters you need. :)

I'm working on it...I'm also up to my ears in schoolwork, and with Darkest Days (BASRC's prequilly type thing). I have a lot of characters, but I do need some random classmates...I can't have the class full of just the ten-or-so main characters. ^^;

Well, I'd be happy to come up with background characters for you. :D

Most of the students are human, aren't they? Like those types in your signature. Or are there a lot of nonhumans too?
